Moppets Fun: Museum Playdate
It's a bit of a drive but well worth it when you come out to join us at Stepping Stones Children's Museum in Norwalk, CT. Bring an extra set of clothes since they do have a water table. They also have a Cafe where you can purchase lunch. Still not convinced? Check out their website. Adults & Children $15, Children under 1 Free.

Moppets Fun: Easter Egg Hunt!
Our annual Easter egg hunt will be loads of fun. Bring your kids, camera and be ready for an egg hunt for all ages. We'll have two areas so that even the little ones will be able to pick up eggs.

February MOPS Meeting - Man Panel
Come hear some honest answers to questions you've always wanted to ask a husband and father. We will present a group of men with a wide range of life experience. There are some questions that our Steering team thought would be a good starting point to begin our discussion, but there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions of the men that may have been an unsolvable mystery to you. We would love for you to be a part of this fun, entertaining and informative morning. The Risk table will be hosting this month, however, if you would like to bring some food you may sign up to do so here.

Couples Fun: Valentine's Dinner
Reserve a babysitter NOW and take this opportunity to celebrate Valentine's Day with a fun group of friends. DeAnna will host a night of Italian inspired pot luck dinner items and get-to-know-you games. There will be an Evite with a list of pot luck items for which to sign up. Last year's dinner was just a fun-filled night---just ask those who were able to attend! And, it is a great way to involve all the FOPS (Fathers of Preschoolers)!

November's speaker will be Marie Roth, RD from the Eat Well, Be Well Program at Blythedale Children's Hospital. She will be speaking on the roles of parents and children in eating/feeding relationships, preventing and dealing with picky eaters and nutrition concerns of preschoolers. Should be a good one!

Do you have some clothes in your closet that are still in good shape, but you're just bored with them? Done with having kids (that you know of) and want to share your maternity clothes? October MOPS Meeting
We are very excited to have Joyce McFadden, author of "Your Daughter's Bedroom: Insights for Raising Confident Women" speaking this month. Joyce is a certified psychoanalyst who has been practicing for 25 years. Her book came to fruition through a women's study she conducted in hundreds of on-line anonymous surveys (www.womensrealities.com). The book has been featured in Oprah's "O Magazine". Watch this video for a preview of what will be discussed. While the book focuses on the mother-daughter relationship, it's also extremely relevant in considering what mothers both teach, and model for their sons. In addition, it's written to help adult women look with fresh eyes on their own relationships with their own mothers. Publisher's Weekly is calling it "a fascinating and empowering text for women of all ages" and it's been added to the Women's Studies curriculum at Colgate University. If you would like to read the book before October's meeting you may purchase it here. There will also be books available to buy at the meeting.

September MOPS Meeting
Our year officially kicks-off with our first meeting! Drop your kids off in playcare then come downstairs to enjoy some food and conversation with fellow moms. We will start the meeting off with an introduction to our "Momsense" theme by our mentor, Paula Vanderlynn. Then we will have a little fun getting to know each other in a "Guess Who" game about ourselves. If you haven't already registered you may do so at this time.
